GEO Competitor Search Helper — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what the GEO Competitor Search Helper browser extension (“the extension”) does with information. The extension is the companion of the GEO Content Pro WordPress plugin and is published by Astra Ai Lab (https://astraailab.com/).
1. Single purpose
The extension does one job: it performs the research steps of the GEO Content Pro dashboard inside your own browser — running search-engine queries for competitor research, downloading competitor web pages, and checking finished articles on zerogpt.com — and hands the results back to the GEO Content Pro dashboard you are using.
2. Information the extension handles
- Search queries. When you start a research task, the dashboard sends the extension a keyword. The extension sends that keyword to Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo to get the results page and reads the result titles, links and snippets. In the optional “Silent” Google mode the request is made by the extension without opening a tab and, like any normal visit, includes your browser’s own Google cookies. For that request only, the extension temporarily sets the browser-identification (User-Agent) and language headers so that Google returns a simple results page; no personal data is added.
- Competitor web pages. The extension downloads the competitor pages found by the search (without sending your cookies) and extracts their title, description, headings and main text. This is returned to the dashboard only.
- Article text for the AI-detection check. When you ask the dashboard to check an article, the extension opens zerogpt.com in a background tab or small window, pastes the text, reads the resulting score and flagged sentences, and closes the tab. The text is therefore sent to zerogpt.com.
- Settings and connected websites (stored on your device). The extension saves your three popup settings (Google mode, search-engine order, ZeroGPT window mode) and a short list (up to 15) of the GEO Content Pro websites you have used: the website address, its name, the page address path, the page type (dashboard or Settings), the plugin and dashboard versions, and the times it first and last connected. It also keeps temporary tab identifiers for the tabs it opened, only until the browser session ends. This data stays in your browser’s extension storage.
3. What the extension does not do
- It does not collect your name, e-mail address, account details, passwords, payment data, location or browsing history.
- It contains no analytics, tracking, telemetry or advertising.
- It does not send anything to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.
- It does not execute remote code. All of its code is inside the package you installed.
- Its content script is loaded on web pages only so that it can recognise a GEO Content Pro dashboard. It reacts exclusively to messages sent by a GEO Content Pro page and does not read, record or transmit the content of any other page you visit.
4. Who receives information
Information leaves your browser only as needed for the task you start, and only to:
- the search engines you use for research (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo), which receive your search keyword;
- the competitor websites whose pages are downloaded, which see an ordinary page request from your browser and IP address;
- zerogpt.com, which receives the article text you ask to check;
- the GEO Content Pro dashboard that asked for the work, which receives the results.
Those third parties handle data under their own privacy policies (for example Google, Microsoft Bing, DuckDuckGo and ZeroGPT’s own policy). We do not sell or transfer user data to anyone else, we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. The GEO Content Pro website
The WordPress plugin is separate from the extension and runs on the website where it is installed. On that website, the article text and prompts you enter in the dashboard are relayed by the website’s server to the AI provider chosen by the site owner (BlueMind, InceptionLabs, Morphllm or Groq); the provider’s API key is kept on the server and never given to your browser. To limit usage on a public dashboard, the server may keep a one-way hash of the visitor’s IP address combined with the current hour, for up to one hour, to count requests; the address itself is not stored. The dashboard’s saved sessions and drafts are stored in your browser’s local storage, not on the server. The site owner is responsible for the rest of that website’s own privacy practices.
6. Retention and your control
- Search keywords, competitor-page text and ZeroGPT results are not stored by the extension after the result has been delivered (competitor pages are cached in memory for about 10 minutes and are lost when the browser closes the extension’s background process).
- Stored settings and the connected-websites list stay until you remove them. Use the “✕” button in the extension popup to forget a website, or uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored.
7. Children
The extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly handle information about children.
8. Changes
If the extension’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the date above changed.
